Award Plastics are stockists and distributors of EasyGlaze, which is an inexpensive and easy to use self-adhesive 2 part DIY glazing system specifically designed for use with 3mm thick Plastic Glazing Sheets. We do NOT recommend use of glass with this particular secondary glazing product. The EasyGlaze base strip is cut and fixed to the window frame with tape, the glazing sheet being held in by the matching cover strip, which is pressed in providing a neat and attractive appearance. The profiles can be mitred to form a frame, using the mitre bead provided with a few simple tools.
Because EasyGlaze uses self-adhesive tape, we recommend cleaning and degreasing the window surround before installation. Easyfix Surface Preparation Wipes are ideal for this, containing 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA). See the table below for pack details. We recommend using 2mm Acrylic sheet with EasyGlaze system We offer a full cut to size service to provide you with all your acrylic panels. For Double Glazing we only use high quality acrylic sheet with a 30 year guarantee.
